Happenings

Well, it is another wet and rainy day in Upper Hutt. We went off to Playcentre today and manged to feel some rays from the sun...aaahhh.

Lucy has a cold and I have something brewing. A sore throat and a bit of a wonky head. Hopefully it will pass soon.

I had a visit with my doctor on Monday. I am at 17 weeks but baby is measuring just about 18. Very active baby but I am not feeling many of the kicks and punches because apparently the placenta is lying anterior - or at the front, nearest my skin, and not towards my spine. I can still feel the baby moving around though so it must be strong!

It is my parents 42 wedding Anniversary today. Happy Anniversary to them!

Vaughan and his mum, Anne, celebrate their birthday this Friday. We are having family over for a dinner on Saturday. Ethan turned 6 last Saturday and received lots of cool toys. We had fun eating cake and lollies with the family to celebrate.

There you go!

Grounded

Today I realized that I no longer dwell in the past or previous experiences I have had. I have no regrets about my past, only appreciation for what I have learned from my journey thus far. I am happy with who I am and where I am in life. I am content and grounded. I have a wonderful husband, a joyful and happy daughter, another child on the way and family and friends whom I adore and enjoy. I know that the best experiences of my life lie ahead of me, not behind me. That does not mean I am waiting for something good or better to happen in my life, I just know that there is so much in store to look forward to while still totally enjoying the here and now.

Photos from August

And then there were four....

Hello

All is well here in Upper Hutt. I have been traveling quite a bit for work, on days I normally don't work so things have been very busy. I was in Sydney for three days the week before last and in Taupo for three days last week. It's not easy being away from Vaughan and Lucy for three days at a time!

I am now in my 15th week of pregnancy and am feeling pretty good! This baby is due on 3 Feb, the same day Lucy was due. We shall see if they share a birthday or not! I have finally told my employer I am pregnant which has taken a weight off my shoulders. I was happy to learn that I will be entitled to three months paid leave from my employer in addition to the 14 weeks I receive from the government. That will make taking time off again easier. I took 8 months off when Lucy was born and I plan to do the same with this baby.

Lucy is active and busy and loves being the mother to all the other kids at daycare. Hopefully she will take to her new brother or sister in the same way.

Vaughan is well and riding his bike in and out of work a couple of times a week now that I am back at home, he is well and the weather isn't treacherous (still cold and rainy though).

It is Wednesday here, my day off to spend with Lucy. We are off to Playcentre for two hours when she wakes up and then hopefully off to the gym so I can work out. She is still asleep this morning at 7:40am, quite unusual. She is normally up right at 6am!

Keep well!
