My parents came out for a visit this Summer (January and February) and as my mum and Lucy share a birthday I made sure we had some photos taken to celebrate their 70th and 5th birthday together.  Here are a few of my favorites.
Hello!  I am back. I am not sure who is reading but I intend on doing a better job at updating the blog.   There is lots going on in our lives and not enough time to fit everything in!  We have two dogs, two kids, two adults and heaps of fun.  : )  And Samuel, my nephew, turned two yesterday, on Mother's Day.  In this photo are Lucy and Hope with their cousins (all of them!).  From left to right are: Ethan (9) Margot (>4) Hope (3) Lucy (5) Samuel (2) and Gabe (7).  All at Granny's house for Mother's day and Samuel's birthday party. xxoo

2nd Anniversary

Vaughan and I were married on 18 March 2006 in Hahei. This is my favorite photo from the day.

We have had a very busy and full two years. My move to NZ, our wedding, Lucy, a new home - it has been a challenging, exhausting and thoroughly wonderful two years!
Happy Anniversary to us! XXOO

Mom is Back in Redmond

These are some of my favorite photos from my mom's visit.

Well, my mom arrived on 31 January and departed on 28 February. It was wonderful to have her here and the month went too quick. The first week she, Lucy and Vaughan were all sick. Then she came right and had time to connect with Lucy. By the second week she and Lucy were old pals and they had a good time hanging out with one another. My mom had the magic touch and was even able to get her to take a nap!
During the last two weeks my mom looked after Lucy when I went to work, which was very cool. Lucy didn't have to go to daycare and they got to hang out together. We had some great laughs and good fun while she was here and I was very sad to see her go. It was wonderful to have her support while she was here. Hurry back! : )

Day with Grandma

Right, so...getting Lucy to sleep is not too difficult for Vaughan and I but it is not the easiest job on earth. Today my mom looked after Lucy and had a great day AND managed to get her to sleep THREE times. All parents will appreciate that this is a slap in the face!

Plunket

Lucy had her one year check up today at Plunket. See the link below if you are interested in Plunket. They look after the development of children in NZ. Lucy weighs 9.46 kgs and is 75 cn long. For weight she is in the 50th percentile and for height the 75th percentile. So she is long and lean.

Grandma De Wald arrives tomorrow!

Lucy's Grandmother DeWald arrives tomorrow from Redmond, WA. It will take her just about 24 hours of flying and layovers to get here. She is in the air to SFO right now and then on to Sydney and finally Wellington. My dad is not making the trip this time. My mom will be here for about one month and we should have lots of adventures! She and Lucy were born on the same day.
